  1. Thank you. I spent a lot of time there as a sailor back in the 80s. God Bless Ron's family.

    2. One of my old high school teachers, Fr. Tim O'Neill lived out there in the summers and was good friends of your family. I went to the bar when I visited him . Your great uncle Isie Goldman and Tommy Killbane we're Fr. Tim's friends.

  6. I used to go to Coffee Ron's starting in 1982 till 1987. It was at the corner of Ellis and Taylor I think. Loved it. Ron's daughter Linda worked there then I would love to get in touch with her again and catch up on a ridiculous amount of time! My name is Lisa and I had 3 daughter's.

  9. Really loved Ron and Laura in the 80's when I knew them and frequented London's and CR's - spent many nights rolling dice for bottles of Mumm's Champagne to just give away to the ladies. I still have the photo when they treated my fiancee (now wife of 30 years) and I to dinner at the Fairmont - even offered to let me borrow that big 'ole Lincoln of his to run up to Tahoe to get married, though I didn't take him up on that. Thanks for the memories.

  11. I used to go to Coffee Ron's in the 70s and 80s when I was in SF on business. Such a great spot, and my boyfriend at the time was named Ron, so I always picked up a couple of match books for him. My son is moving to the Bay area in a couple of weeks, and I had to check to see if I could send him to a favorite place while he's there. Alas, it is no more. But the wonderful memories, and a few match books, remain.

  12. I attended a convention at the Hilton in July. 1991. A friend and I visited Coffee Ron's one night, shaking dice with the bartender. The three of us were pretty wasted. We went back the next night but heard our favorite bartender had been fired! So sorry!
