Hattie's Hat, Ballard, Seattle

There are many reasons to like Hattie's Hat Restaurant in Ballard, Seattle, not the least of which is the bar, Aunt Harriet's Lounge, where Nick and a couple of other lovely bartenders whose names I don't know pour very large gin drinks during the week; also a plus - Hattie's proximity to the Tractor Tavern, which hosts many amazing live bands.  But, at the end of the day, when you get right down to it, I probably go just to see this little kitty...

New Story - "The Joy Division Guy"

Ostensibly, I write fiction in my "spare time".  Which seems somewhat unbelievable even to me considering the last story I finished was approximately 18 months ago.  That being said, I finished a new story yesterday, The Joy Division Guy.  Although I'm not convinced it's necessarily a story, to be perfectly honest.  In any event, should you care to read this story you are my welcome guest.  It's about 17 pages, though I believe that it "reads quick".  If interested, send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the story electronically...

The Feast of St. Mary Magdalene

Was, actually, yesterday.  I seem to get confused by this every year, not sure why.  In any event, a big IBL shout-out to our favorite saint, and Jesus' best girl - respect...

That 70s Show

Was on the air for eight seasons.  Eight seasons.  Don't believe me, you can look it up over at imdb.com.  Now I came upon this bit of information as I was researching the actress Laura Prepon who is currently appearing in the show Orange is the New Black streaming on Netflix.  I could not believe she was the redhead from That 70s Show but yes and true she was.  Orange is the New Black I kind of like, I have to say, though it's not perfect.  But I digress and need to repeat this in case you missed it earlier - That 70s Show ran for eight seasons.  Seriously, eight.  I am not  making this up.

"Cross"

A photograph of a site specific IBL cross on the campus of North Seattle Community College, June 15th, 2013.  I am no expert in the flora department - anybody care to comment on the type of plant delivering these flowers/leaves please feel free.  I neglected to measure the size of the original, but I imagine it was about 14 x 10, give or take.  And, for a little perspective -

Have Been Under the Weather...

... for like nine days now.  Danielle too.  Have not had too much interest/energy to post stuff here.  But, I will try and rectify that tomorrow because I KNOW that YOU depend on me.  That is all...

"Izzy Stradlin"

Get it? Like that's his name? As in "is he straddlin' some bitch back stage, maybe"? It's funny, see? It's rock and roll.  Don't like it? Maybe you should acquire a better sense of humor, then.  I mean seriously, dude, seriously - it's rock and roll...
