I make this out to be: "My goal is to be shunned for my humanity." Have someone take pains to avoid some revealed individual quality of kindness or benevolence. Could be a trap for the unwary, where first appearances are cause for criticism, while deeper reality is misunderstood or ignored. Makes me think of Edward Scissorhands. But of course, if Edward had chosen his scissorhands, we'd have a different spin. We walk the line between individual expression, eccentricity and conformity. Some things we choose, some things are habituated, some things we're stuck with. Sometimes I want to make the world, until I tire and want the world to wake me.
