Evidence of Why I Smear My Copy on Occasion
I was supposed to be left-handed, but the nuns did not correct me. Which meant that, as a kid, I wrote in the STYLE of a left-hander BUT with my right hand. Which meant I smeared ink all over my copy. Which looked like shit on the page and left a mess on the back of my hand which could get on my shirt and pants. (As an adult people who had known me for years would sit across a table from me and watch me write and say "I never knew you were left-handed.")
I have learned how to compensate for that over the years but sometimes a boy forgets, and I forgot last Saturday night. I dedicate this ink to the nuns who taught me, Dexter over Sinister any day of the week.
